Admission Update Islamia College of Science and Commerce Srinagar 2022
A structured Pre-Admission 2022 counselling was conducted in the month of March, 2022 in this College and 3500 students participated in the counselling sessions spread over 10 days. They were given complete awareness on different aspects of Admission 2022 to facilitate their admission in various programmes in the College as per the contours of National Education Policy-2020.
Meanwhile National Regulatory Authority of Higher Education, University Grants Commission came-up with draft guidelines for 4-year undergraduate programme (FYUGP) wherein they proposed an initial multidisciplinary and general education followed by domain specific academics. The guidelines were put in public domain for feedback and now final guidelines are awaited and will take some time.
Meanwhile in the larger student interest, Higher Education Department is contemplating to draw an academic calendar in sync with National Calendar. This initiative of Higher Education Department will bring a big relief to the students as they will be in a position to compete at National level and such students who are in CBSE curriculum-based schools will also be able to participate in admission process.
The Board results have come in Feb., 2022 and we are aware that students are eagerly awaiting for their admission in Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar.
We are pleased to inform our prospective students that the process of admission will start shortly and a detailed admission notice will be issued through print and electronic media. We regret inconvenience caused and assure that the wait will bring high dividends to the students in terms of moving to a new educational framework under NEP-2020.
