Kindly refer the subject cited above. In this connection, attention is drawn towards the decision taken in the meetings held on 30th and 31st December, 2021 under the chairmanship of Ld. Advocate General, J&K in which the following also participated:

1. Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

2. Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board.

3. Additional Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.

4. Additional Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice

and Parliamentary Affairs.

5. Additional Secretary to Government (Legal) J&K SSB. 6. Additional Secretary to Government, J&K SSB.

7. Deputy Legal Remembrancer, GAD.

It has been decided in the meetings that in terms of rule 6(1) of Jammu and Kashmir Appointment to Class-IV (Special Recruitment) Rules, 2020, the Board is required to shortlist the candidates in the ratio of 1:4 of the total advertised vacancies on the basis aggregate marks. In terms of the aforesaid rules, as against one vacancy in each cadre, four candidates are required to be shortlisted and after evaluating the meritcum preference the candidate has to be considered for that particular cadre only.

As such, I am directed to advise you to go ahead with the selection process qua the unfilled vacancies and short list the candidates in terms of the prescribed ratio under the rules. Further, the unique candidature procedure adopted by the Board needs to be dispensed with and the remaining vacancies may be filled according to the afore-said rule position.
